Three days to go!

Hello, all!
This will probably be the last post until we arrive at the hospital on Tuesday. Fortunately, things have calmed down around here lately. Jim is feeling much better now and we're just waiting and packing for the trip to Boston.
Some of you have asked for the hospital address. It's:

BIDMC
330 Brookline Ave.
7 Stoneman
Boston, MA 02215
Attn: Linda Wimmers

FYI, there are people in the same area undergoing bone marrow transplants, so flowers are prohibited. If there are any questions or you just need to get in touch with us, Jim's cell # is 513-254-7089 and mine is 513-720-5575. Andrea will be there too, and her cell # is 910-620-6020.

We plan on being temporary Red Sox fans while we're in Boston, so it should be an exciting time to be there.

I'm going into this with a very positive attitude because I've been buoyed by the love and prayers of so many of you already. I know that your support will get me through.

Love ya! Linda

Hi Mrs. Wimmers,

I wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I was reading James 5:13-16 and I thought you might want to hear it: "Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and PRAY for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is POWERFUL and effective." Everyone is praying for you and with enough prayer, I know God will relieve you of your suffering. Know this and know that there are many out there who love and care for you! We all want you to get better and to come back home! I love ya Mrs. Wimmers! You were always a great person to talk to with a wonderful attitude and you were an amazing teacher! Good luck with everything. You are in my heart!

Love,

Betsy Fox

Hi Mrs. Wimmers,

Not sure if you remember me... my husband and I both graduated in '87. (Neither of us will certainly be remembered as remarkable math students!) Our son is a freshman at Badin and he recently told us about your blog. I just want you to know that our family is thinking of you often and keeping you in our prayers. Good luck this week and God bless!

Fondly,

Jennifer (Stagg) and Rick Bucheit

Well how is MBF Linda and her hubbins doing? I hope the trip was an easy one. Especially for you Jim : )It's got to be better than the last flight. I was really glad that I got to see you yesterday. Tell Andrea I said hey! She and Tony are in my thoughts almost as much as you guys. Keep the info coming. It's so important for all of us. If you get a chance read Psalm 91. I hung a copy on my bathroom mirror while Mark was in Iraq. It talks about David as he heads into war. I know you are too. So back on the mirror it goes!! This is my prayer for you!
Run a good race MBF.

Love ya
Pam

Hi Mrs. Wimmers,

I know that it's been a long time since I've gotten to talk with you. I tend to let myself fall out of the loop on things, so I was shocked when my mom told me that you were undergoing cancer treatment in Boston. I've been able to read some of the messages on your blog, and it sounds like you've been busy, to say the least. I'm sorry that I haven't been keeping up with you, and I want to let you know that you and your family will be in my prayers from now on.

Things have been going well at UD, and I am setting my plans for grad school to pursue structural engineering next fall. Last summer, I actually went on a trip with one of my service clubs to Boston; besides the traffic, it would sure be a great place to stay for a while under different circumstances.

I truly hope that the cancer responds to thiss treatment and that you're cured. If you want to chat with me sometime, the best way to get a hold of me is email: tim.truster@gmail.com.

Love,

Tim Truster
